Funny, as much as I use NewNewsWire, I don't use it with del.icio.us much. Certainly one could use an aggregator with a bunch of del.icio.us/rss/tag/[keyword] links. I guess I just got used to being able to surf to my inbox and see a mishmash of interesting stuff (tags and users you like) all chronologically ordered. Like I said, it replaced my daily blogdex'ing. If the Inbox stays gone much longer, I may go with your approach, especially since NNW could collapse the items into a folder of feeds.

BTW, my del.icio.us links are here.

Buzz and I have already been chatting about what I'd like to contribute to Cocoalicious and it seems pretty doable, which is cool.

Scott, thanks for the delicious2safari link. I actually subscribe to my own feed in NetNewsWire. I'm not a complete narcissist, but I find it a convenient way to keep my personal links along with the various link blogs I read.

I started using del.icio.us after the Inbox was disabled. I'm kind of confused about the usefulness of the Inbox when I can just download the individual RSS feeds.

I've been a bit bummed because the del.icio.us "Inbox" feature has been down for several weeks while the host redesigns the database. To me the Inbox was like my own personal Blogdex of things related to my interests. I'm eager for it to come back.

I would also recommend delicious2safari which brings your del.icio.us bookmarks into a folder of Safari's bookmarks, arranged by tags. Once setup it just takes an occasional run to reimport things and keep the folder up to date.

I think del.icio.us tends to be something of an acquired taste. It takes awhile to get into the idea of tagging, and to appreciate the ways social bookmarking can help you find new and interesting things.

That said, I'm really going to be moving Cocoalicious into the direction of being independent of del.icio.us. The thing I've had in mind is that Cocoalicious should be to del.icio.us what VoodooPad is to Wikis.

Contributions are definitely welcome--I'd be curious to know what you have in mind...
